About Elizabeth

Peninsula Dental School offered me a place to study dentistry and I accepted without a second thought. I relocated and thoroughly enjoyed my time as a student, graduating with honours.

I grew up in Inverness and prior to my dental career I was a wedding photographer working throughout Scotland. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, cycling or swimming and you can often find me in my garden doing DIY projects! I also continue to enjoy creative pursuits (when I get time) such as painting, drawing and writing. My friends would describe me as: ‘always has a project on the go’.

Professionally I trained in short term adult orthodontics and carried out my membership exams quite quickly after graduation. However my main interest is in the surgical aspect of dentistry, completing an MSc in Oral Surgery in 2023. Currently, I am part way through my MSc in Implant Dentistry. In the future I may consider periodontology or restorative.

I am passionate about dentistry always striving to provide patient centred care and this seeps out into the workplace as well. I believe that all members of the dental team are important and try to ensure that the whole team is recognised for their valuable contributions to our service.

About Kate

I came to Plymouth to study dentistry at Peninsula Dental School, but I am originally from Gloucestershire. I started my dental career in NHS dentistry and joined the team at Eilertsen Dental Care in 2022. I have seen the practice grow in leaps and bounds in this short space of time and am excited to see what the future holds for us. I love working here because I have the time to provide gold standard treatment and each and every team member truly cares about our patients.

One of my favourite aspects of my job is treating anxious patients and seeing how their confidence builds over time, but my real passion is Endodontics (root canal treatment).

I am in the process of completing a Masters degree in Endodontics at Peninsula Dental School. As much as I love doing root canal treatment – I love saving teeth more! I strive to provide preventative and minimally invasive dentistry.

In my spare time I enjoy exploring historical landmarks in the area, doting on my little black cat Olive and playing relaxing video games.

About Amelia
I graduated from Cardiff university in 2008 and knew immediately that I wanted to return to my home county of Devon to practice dentistry. After working as an associate in the NHS for two years, I decided to join the Royal Navy as a Dental Officer. The next six years provided me with many experiences that civilian dental practice could never have – carrying out treatments whilst onboard ship, placing temporary fillings in a tent on the front line and many other unimaginable situations.
On leaving the Navy in 2016, I knew that south Devon was where I wanted to remain and so I returned to the NHS and private practice as an associate working in Torquay and Totnes, whilst also becoming a clinical supervisor and Peninsula Dental School. This provided me the chance to pass on my knowledge and skills to the next generation, to both dental and therapy students.
On returning back to civilian practice it was clear that dentistry had become more preventative and aesthetic based so I decided to increase my skills in these areas and became Invisalign trained and gained my Advanced Botulin Toxin Course.
The pandemic proved an uncertain time and so, on seeing an advert for a part time civilian associate position at HMS Drake,  I jumped at the chance and I now work two days a week for the Royal Navy in HMNB Devonport.
I am currently completing my PgCert in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetics and look forward to providing patients with the most natural restorative fillings, veneers, crowns and  bridges possible.
When I am not working, I live on a working cattle and sheep farm with my husband and son and so you may see me exhibiting our sheep at Devon County or Royal Cornwall Show.’

About Stephanie

I grew up in Portsmouth and graduated from Peninsula Dental School in 2018. During my degree I fell in love with the South West and chose to stay in the area.

I enjoy all aspects of Dental Therapy, but particularly restorative work to improve on form and function. I am also passionate about creating a comfortable environment, where I can empower my patients to look after their own oral health; with prevention being better than cure!

In 2020 I was lucky enough to be invited back to University to study Dental Surgery and will be qualifying later this year.

Outside of dentistry I am a keen weightlifter and regularly train in CrossFit.

About Chloe

In 2022 I graduated as a Dental Therapist with Merit from Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. I have always been more passionate about the cosmetic aspect of dentistry. In the beginning of 2024 I completed a composite masterclass which has allowed me to offer more cosmetic treatments to patients such as composite bonding and composite veneers. I will be starting my post graduate diploma this September 2024 in Aesthetic Dentistry to further my skillset and knowledge around these treatments. To be able to regenerate a patients smile with minimally invasive techniques and boost their confidence is something I am passionate about. I will also soon be offering facial aesthetic treatments in practice such as Dermal Fillers and treatments for excessive sweating. Alongside the cosmetic aspect, I also offer general dental treatments such as exams, whitening, GBT and fillings. Although I was born in the UK, I grew up in Seattle, WA so I enjoy going back to see my family as much as possible. I enjoy going to the gym and being outdoors in my spare time.

About Georgina

I qualified as a Dental Therapist from Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. I was born and raised in Oxfordshire, where I practiced as a dental nurse for 4 years. I went to complete my undergraduate study in the South West and during my 3 years I found my love for Devon, and wasn’t ready to leave yet, so decided to make the move! I have experience of extensive treatment as a patient myself, in the form of double jaw surgery, so I empathise with the feeling of apprehension that goes hand in hand with appointments. I am passionate about offering a relaxed environment and comfortable treatments to all my patients. I am particularly interested in delivering minimally invasive techniques and providing evidence based dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the countryside, travelling and going back to my hometown to see my family, where I also have two cats Poppy and Minnie waiting.

Dental Nurse with enhanced skills

National Diploma in Dental Nursing

– BDA Education Certificate in Dental Radiography

– BDA Certificate in Oral Health Education

GDC 300189

About Steph

I joined the team at Eilertsen Dental Care at the beginning of 2025. I started my dental nursing career back in 2019, and ever since qualifying as a registered dental nurse, I haven’t stopped learning. I’m passionate about growing my skills and have gone on to gain further qualifications in radiography and oral health education. I now run clinics at the practice where I take x-rays and CBCT scans for our clinicians, and I’m also the Radiation Protection Supervisor for the practice.

One of my favourite parts of the job is helping patients feel calm, comfortable, and cared for. I know that coming to the dentist can be a bit daunting for some, so I always do my best to help patients feel at ease, and hopefully even enjoy their visit.

I’m also qualified in facial aesthetics and advanced skincare, which is an area I really enjoy. It’s something I’d like to focus on more in the future, using my skills to help people feel good in their own skin and enhance their natural beauty.

When I’m not at the practice, I live in a lovely little coastal town in Cornwall with my fiancé, who owns a local ice cream shop and have two miniature dachshunds, Basil and Freddie, who definitely keep me on my toes! I also love spending time with my family, whether we’re out exploring, having a cosy night in, or enjoying some Cornish sea air.

Hayley Roberts

Dental Nurse

National Diploma in Dental Nursing

GDC 297750

About Hayley

I decided to become a dental nurse in 2019. At that time I worked as a personal carer but felt it was time for me to try something new. A bad dental experience meant I had a fear of the dentist which led me to having to be sedated for treatment. Which means I can empathise with patients who are also fearful and try and help them through dental visits with our team. I would like to develop my knowledge in dental photography and in impression techniques. I discovered dental photography after I worked with a dentist who gave a presentation on why dental photography was useful in the clinical environment. The talk covered several points including things that can be learned by taking a photo for development of skills and monitoring of problems that a patient might experience. I am also interested in sedation nursing. I was born here in Plymouth and when I am not busy with studying and working, I enjoy making cakes and cupcakes for family and friends, and I also like draw in my spare time. I enjoy going out for walks in the evenings or riding my bike when I can and if the weather is good. In the future I am hoping to do some travel to see new things and places.

About Amy

My interest in dental nursing came from my desire in helping people. Having family members who have had traumatic dental experiences and are dental phobic, i have wanted to provide a service which i would want my own family and friends to be in receipt of. I began my dental career in 2021 as a trainee dental nurse and qualified in early 2023 with a National Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing. I am looking to persue my career as a dental nurse and to provide an enhanced service and complete additional courses with my main interest being in Oral Hygiene.

In my spare time i enjoy being outside and being by the seaside with my dog. I enjoy keeping fit whether that be walking, yoga, cycling or playing netball. I have a great passion for interior design and alongside working i am currently renovating my home.
